Battery tray MOT failure?
Battery tray MOT failure?
Pulled out the leisure battery to give it a top up and found that the battery tray has turned to dust! With an MOT looming does anyone know if this is a fail?

What vehicle is it on? Would only fail if it's near a structural point
Boycott shampoo, demand real poo!
Should have mentioned... it's on a late bay, surrounding area still ok
The battery was hanging out so not a good look, broken closer to the outside skin rather than the inside. I've ordered new parts so going to give the repair a go myself - not sure if i have time before it goes in for MOT
Ta will do, thanks for the advice folks. takes the pressure off getting the work done before hand

If the van is a Late Bay is it not over 40 years old so doesn't need an MOT? If your down on the V5 as a Historic Vehicle and you have a V112 form or whatever number it is declaring it is basically stock then no MOT needed. That means you can get your new tray when it suits you not dependant on a MOT date.
